REVIEW OF BADGER PARK CAMPGROUND IN PESHTIGO WISCONSIN

Currently in Peshtigo WI (Low 55 Currently Sunny 61)
Heading to Manistique MI (Currently 56 Times of Clouds and Sun High 67)

Badger Park is a city park in Peshtigo Wisconsin that has a small mostly wooded campground. Unlike the last trip our GPS devices performed admirably and brought us right to the park. The site we ended up is why we have reservations during the summer in this part of the country. Not only do the parks fill up during the weekends from Memorial Day to Labor Day but there are a lot of trees so a very limited number of satellite friendly sites. Site #1 has a great line of sight but there was an added bonus; the camp host said that since we were on the end that we could drive on the grass and turn the backin site into a pull-thru, what a bonus. Here we are in the 'pull-thru' showing some of the grass we drove on. Trees on either side and a good line of sight for our satellite dish made this a very good site.

ATT cellular was fairly strong but ATT 4g was a little weak and flakey. The hookups were convenient (50amp electrical and water). There was no sewer hookup. The best part of the park though was the rate, accepting Passport America for Sunday-Thursday, making our weeks stay $121.50.

We didn't know that we would have a water view from our back window but here it is.

Also from our back window during the summer every Wednesday night there is a program called 'Bands at Badger' and this week was a 70s cover band. We heard some Lynyrd Skynyrd, Heart, Cindy Lauper, etc. Here is the view from the back window where we could listen and not worry about bugs.

Lifestyle from the front.

To the right.

To the left.

From the rear.

With the Passport America rate, great weather, sightseeing and food, we would stay here again if in the area.

We depart today for Manistique Michigan.

Till next time,

Bob and Jo
