After a relaxing and fun filled week with a lot of good eats we departed Peshtigo Wisconsin yesterday and headed to Manistique Michigan. Let's just say JJ wasn't especially ready to travel.
We got JJ and his sisters in the bedroom and headed first to the dump station since we have been one week without a sewer connection. Since there was a line it allowed us time to take a picture.
We finished dumping and then headed out. We crossed over the Menominee River into Pure Michigan.
A lot of our miles were close to Lake Michigan. There were a number of photos we would have liked to have taken but at highway speeds it was tough to get them. Here is a good one Jo was able to get.
We are staying at the Manistique Lakeshore Campground. It was approximately 115 miles, this is the route we took. About 100 of those miles were along the western shore of Lake Michigan.
We will be here a week exploring the area and enjoying this view out our back window. Here is a picture of our site from the campground's website. We'll have more campground photos in a future blog. It will be a slight adjustment as we moved into Eastern Daylight Time which means for a while it will be light at 10p.
