Currently in Oshkosh WI (Low 57 Sunny then Rather Cloudy High 76)
After an overnight stay we departed West Salem WI and headed to Oshkosh, also in Wisconsin. We are staying at Osh Vegas Palms RV Park but there's much more to this story.
The last leg of our overnight stays was approximately 140 miles, this is the route we should have taken.
After about 10 trips where both of our GPS devices and Google Maps agreed on the route Bob got a little lazy and didn't do his due diligence on this one. The Rand McNally GPS took us on County roads that you probably couldn't find on the map because the state of Wisconsin doesn't want you to know how bad these roads are.
But bad roads and bad directions only begins to tell the horrors of this trip. When we finally got to the park we quickly realized that it was not a full hookup park. Long pull thru - Yes; Good line of sight for satellite - Yes; but no sewer. No sewer means we probably won't be staying here the entire week.
The mobile service guy is coming by this morning to check on the leak. If we get it fixed we think we will head to a full hookup park for the remainder of our week in Oshkosh.
We really cannot recommend this park. The office wasn't staffed when we got here. During our drive to our site we didn't see a dump station. There apparently isn't showers or laundry or restrooms either. We are not even sure how much we will be paying.
As we inch closer to the Upper Peninsula we are now staying at least a week at each of our stops.
Till next time,
Bob and Jo
