GLACIER NATIONAL PARK - OUR FIRST GRIZZLY EDITION

Currently in St. Mary MT (Low 44 A Couple of Thunderstorms High 58)

As you can see in the heading above we are in the rainy season here in St. Mary Montana. According to the forecast Tuesday was probably the sunniest day that we will have during our stay so we headed to Glacier National Park. We took a lot of photos so have decided to break up our adventure into three posts. This one deals with our first sighting of a grizzly bear ever. Future posts will deal with the Going-to-the-Sun road and the waterfalls in Glacier NP.

Realizing that we don't have the best camera for faraway shots, you will have to click to enlarge them and then zoom, but this was close enough for us considering it was a grizzly bear.

Our last shot

We got a much better view with our binoculars. The large hump of muscle was clearly evident. It was great to see our first grizzly.

Next blog entry we will see shots of our driving tour of the Going-to-the-Sun road.

Till next time,

Bob and Jo
