We never got tired of seeing the big ships heading to/from the Soo Locks. Here are some examples as seen from our campsite.
We saw a fairly rare occurence, two big ships crossing to/from the Soo Locks
Good to see the US Coast Guard on duty.
Even when it's raining we still saw big ships through our windows.
Yesterday was a great day with a lot of ships. It was real windy though and the wind was coming over the 48 degree water in the river so it was real chilly. Bob would run out and get a photo or two and then head back in. Last night was fireworks for Canada Day down by the bridge which we could see from the campsite. We thought we could see them out our back window but they were right behind a tree so we had to venture outside. We bundled up but it was cold so we didn't see all the fireworks. That's OK we have the American side coming up Sunday night. We did see two big ships passing in the night and it was a little eerie.
Till next time,
Bob and Jo
What fun to just sit and watch the world go by. Those are some big suckers for sure.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! I spent five years working for a great lakes steamship company. Rode the ships thru all of the Great Lakes. Lots of interesting places.
