Currently in Pagosa Springs CO (Low 30 Chilly Early then Afternoon Showers High 51)
After our blog on how we use "Food as Sightseeing" we'd like to give a foodie report on Santa Fe. At check-in we were told that there are 276 non-chain restaurants in
Santa Fe. Our first stop was the Blue Corn Cafe and Brewery that we
blogged about earlier recommended by the checkin desk.
From Mike Mills of "Phannie and Mae" we got Dr. Field Goods which is one of their all time favorites and now one of our favorites too.
We
got a margherita pizza and bread pudding and both were excellent. The
only downer was that since sweetcorn was not in season street corn was
not available. The Ranch House was also on their list and highly rated
by Yelp.
Although
the BBQ chicken was average the sides were amazing. green chile cole
slaw, potato salad, mac-n-cheese were all good but the corn bread was
amazing. From Yelp we got the Pantry Restaurant.
This place
has been in business since 1948 and we can see why. Bob had one of the
best breakfast burritos he has had and Jo had stuffed french toast.
Santa Fe is a great foodie stop.
Till next time,
Bob and Jo
Still plan on being there the first part of June so a couple of these will be visited.
ReplyDeleteEnjoying this; it's almost as if we were there again! I like hearing your take on new places to try. Yum!
ReplyDeleteWe love the food in Santa Fe. So many good places. We were blown away by our breakfast at The Pantry. Enjoy Pagosa Springs. An amazing day was spent at The Springs Resort while we were there. Lots of pools and such a pretty view.
