Diesel Milestone (again)

We utilized some trickery to 'avoid' paying over $4 for a gallon of diesel again but our trickery just ran out. We last paid over $4 in May 2011. We eat out a lot and since Fry's Grocery Stores offered 4X points on gift card purchases and since you can use Fry's points to lower the price of diesel we have been buying just enough gift cards and groceries to get us below the $4 milestone. Or should we say millstone?

The 4X was a limited time only offer plus we have left Fry's country so now we are on our own. We just paid $4.239 at a Chevron north of Flagstaff yesterday.

So far it is not too much of a millstone but if this keeps up we may have to adjust our full-timing lifestyle. Notice we said adjust and not end. We still plan on full-timing but an entire year in Arizona, winter in Goodyear as usual but then higher elevations like Flagstaff for the summer, to save on diesel is one thing we are considering.
