BLOGGING MILESTONE - #800

Currently in Newberry MI (Low 56 Morning Fog then Partly Sunny High 79)

The blog posting is the 803rd that we have done since our very first post on January 28, 2008 shortly after I retired. At first we were blogging infrequently and mostly about getting our house ready for sale. Here is the kitchen after the new appliances.

Early on we did blog about some of the places we lived and visited like Kansas City, Albuquerque and Seattle. Here is Deception Pass north of Seattle.

Then we began blogging about our fulltime RV living. We took a photo of our brand new Cameo at Sterling State Park in Michigan the first night in a campground on the way home from picking it up.

We also took the obligatory photo of our new setup on the drive back sitting next to a semi at a rest stop. We need to do this for the Lifestyle.

It has been quite a ride, here's hoping for another 800 entries.

Bob got our cellular booster out yesterday afternoon after it quit raining and we have better phone and 4g service now. Possibly a future blog topic.

Till next time,

Bob and Jo

  1. When I first started blogging I never in a million years thought I'd still be blogging 9 years later. But I sure am glad I did because I can't remember anything without it. Congrats.

  2. Congrats on 800 posts! We've had you on our reader for a long time and enjoyed it immensely. Our blog, Phannie and Mae, has been going since 2006, but only half as many posts. Guess I'm just lazy. Godspeed, y'all!

  3. I am with Mike, been posting since 2006 including six years full time and I doubt I have more posts than you:) I guess I should look at the counter!

  4. I haven't checked in a very long time how many posts we have done since October, 2009. I'll have to look into that.
Wishing you at least 800+ more.

  5. Congratulations on this significant milestone! We're relatively late comers to following your blog, but have enjoyed it very much as well as your movie reviews.

I started our blog for family and friends back in 2006 when we started our full-timing adventure. Paul wasn't particularly enthusiastic so I set it up and for a time did the writing while Paul contributed the photography. Eventually, he really got in to researching our stops and readily took over writing the posts. We're like Jim and Sandie, we refer to it a lot to help us remember specifics about where we've been.

Because there was no way to back up our blog entries and we didn't want to lose everything when we quit bogging or if our host crashed, we have imported each year's blogs into a hard-cover book where we could highlight our pictures. It has provided us with a wonderful, hands-on keepsake of our adventures that we'll be able to enjoy in the future and hand down to the family.

You have to admit, blogging is more fun than the diary writing we did way back when. It's amazing what we can do these days with technology!

    Keep up the good work!
