Wichita KS (Low 58 Storms High 74)
The turret for the Winegard automatic satellite dish and the limit switches for the Big Foot automatic levelers were installed as planned on Monday. So Tuesday we packed and headed 200 miles to Wichita. Pretty uneventful drive except a very good pumpkin donut and pumpkin iced coffee at a Dunkin Donuts in the travel plaza along I-35. This has been the best pumpkin year ever!
We did get a brief scare on our new refrigerator, the freezer temperature was higher than we thought it should be.
After all the fun that Judy from Travels With Emma has with her residential refrigerator we were a little worried. Turns out that Bob needs to work on his bungee cord tie down technique as the freezer drawer opened during the trip. We made sure the freezer drawer was closed and turned on power freeze and in no time it was back to normal.
We just have a couple of nights in Wichita since we spent more time than we planned at our last spot waiting on parts. It's off to Oklahoma City tomorrow for a couple of nights and then McKinney Texas for some new day/night shades from MCD Innovations.
Till next time,
Bob and Jo
We had to bungee cord our refrigerator too.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels to McKinney Texas.
Enjoy OKC! I lived there for four years back in the dark ages of the 70's:)
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your on the road and all is fixed. We use industrial strength Velcro to keep our freezer draw close. Didn't think it could open, as it seemed hard to open. One day we stopped and the draw was opened. We also got a 2 unit temperature gauge. We keep one in the freezer and one in the refrigerator with the master unit on a shelf. This way we can check the temps in both with just a glance. Works great. Get to a warn climate soon.
