DID NOT LIKE PACKING FOR MOVE TO HOTEL

Overland Park KS (Low 68 Sunny and Humid High 94)

We have gotten so used to living full-time in our Cameo that it was a shock to pack and move into the hotel while the Cameo is being worked on. It was amazing just how much stuff we have in such a little space and how much was needed in the hotel for what could be a one month stay. If anything though it has helped our belief that we did the right thing when we decided to live full-time in our Cameo.

No more packing/unpacking for hotels - we have everything with us.
No more trouble sleeping first night in a hotel - we bring our bedroom and pillow with us.
No more rental cars - our truck is always with us.
No more airline flights - the flyover part of the country is awesome and we have no pat downs, unless we want to :-)

These are just a few of the reasons why full-timing is in our future until we can no longer travel.

We'll end with a picture of our Cameo while it is being worked on. Here is the top of the Cameo after they took the roof off and pulled back the insulation. The wet insulation will be replaced and the area will be cleaned to make sure no mold grows in the future.

Till next time,

Bob and Jo

  1. I hate flying and I hate staying in hotels/motels. We have really become spoiled having our homes with us all the time. I sure hope it doesn't take a whole month to get all the work done.

  4. Oh crap...one month is long an eternity when you can't return to your home. Paul would have a fit. He hates hotels of any kind.
